EVERY MUKTI CHILD HAS their own story

Some come from  families  crushed by poverty

Mukti Girls have been  rescued from  the streets. Although sometimes abandoned by family they are not abandoned by God!

Mukti children are transforming Indian society

   why choose us

Mukti Mission is a faith based work with a long tradition of advocacy for children and women in India

Mukti has an established record of training and equipping young girls to be productive members of Indian society
Visitors to Mukti often notice the smiles and laughter so prevalent among the children. What is not apparent is that behind every smiling face is a personal history that often includes sadness and sometimes even tragedy.  Mukti girls go through adjustments and it takes time for them to grow out of the sadness they've experienced. The Gospel transforms lives and the love of God can take the sadness out of the loneliest heart. Pramodini and her sister Pratibha are just two examples of this.

When a new child comes to Mukti the staff and other children welcome them and make them a special subject of prayer.  Each child's needs are brought before the throne of grace to help them adjust to the new environment. There have been many miraculous answers to prayer and transformed lives. Every Mukti child has her own story. Read through some of these accounts as written in previous newsletters.

T

EACH MUKTI CHILD IS RECOGNIZED ON THEIR BIRTHDAY

Mukti children, although they may have been separated from their parents and birth families, are taught that they are treasured gifts from God and members of the family of God and extended Mukti family.

On each birthday the girls wear their special dresses and are presented gifts during the Mukti chapel services to remind them of their importance to God and His children.

MUKTI CHILDREN LEARN ABOUT JESUS

Mukti children learn about Jesus in school and through participation in daily chapel events.

Mukti takes in abandoned  babies and works to place them in adoptive homes whenever possible.  However, many Mukti girls will experience the love of God while growing up in their Mukti "family," many named after flowers.  Matrons are assigned to each family to provide daily care and supervision of the children while they are not attending the Mukti schools.
